Day 2

We planned to have breakfast @ Siam Paragon~ We missed the shuttle to the mall.. So we took the cab.. Remember, its only 50bhat to go to Siam Paragon area by cab… They would ask for 100bhat if you don’t nego..

Walked around Siam P to look for something nice to eat.. I wanted Starbucks but Chun’s always “NO” for my suggestion.. So “potong stim”.. But he always ask me what to eat… =.=

We walked the whole floor…

And finally back to our 2nd choice… au bon pain.. what does it mean anyway?? pain in the @ss? I’m just kidding.. hehehe… ;p

Check out the salad~ So totally in love with this cafe… Love the club, love the bread, love the dressing, love the soup… omg.. so in love~

Picked Chicken Caesar Salad with low fat Italian Dressing~Yummylicious~

Our simple breakfast`~

Salad, sandwich, soup in bread, tea.. Simple~

So totally worth it… Did not regret eating this for breakfast although it’s only bread..

Happy faces~!! after easing the tummy~

We went for a tea break, uh I meant coffee break @ Starbucks after we walked around the whole building…

Green tea latte here were so sweet… Although I did ordered “less sweet”…

We continued our tour @ Paragon side.. Walked to Siam Center.. Shopping… This time we shop in malls, rather than those wholesale… Bought dresses and tank top from Quicksilver on sale~

And Chun bought a local designer shirt.. Very creative..

Saw my Valentine’s date~

he and a guy.. don’t know him…

Wanted to visit Madame Tussauds, BKK before we’re here.. but I only saw a few wax doll so I decided we should go elsewhere.. Its pretty expensive entrance fees..

Then, we walked to MBK and bought some souvenirs and food~

Since it’s still early… We decided to stick to our plan, to JJ market~ around the noon, we flagged a tuktuk and it took us around 30-45 mins to Chatuchak Market.. Pretty far away via tuktuk…

Grabbing hard!!!

Should have taken the cab instead.. It’s so terribly dusty and hot…

Masked!

We finally reached.. After transporting in a small motor… Backache..

We walked from the back to the front, and then flagged a cab and go back… Couldn’t do much shopping because I’m bringing a big baby along with me… And also the hot whether really pissed me off… I bought some souvenirs and that’s all… We’re there just to walk from the back to the front, and had some drinks…

Shopping in Chatuchak – DONE. with regrets…

We went back to Pratunam area, and then to Platinum Mall~ the greatest… ….

To have some bird nest (the one with the blood) and also KFC!! @ the Platinum Mall food court… We had some tea before our dinner coz we had nothing for lunch… The KFC was pretty nice~ and the chicken was fresh and juicy~

We walked around till it’s time for our dinner reservation @ the tallest building in Thailand…

Level 77 Baiyoke Sky buffet dinner…

Check out the night scenery from our table…

Romantic night…

We grabbed our food.. and I probably took too much fried stuffs, they made me wanna puke…

Sushi, tom yam goong, and fried stuffs..

miso soup, corn soup.. having all the soup~

These seafood are always Chun’s fave… I really don’t understand why… ~.~

check out the big prawns… they irked me…

Check out my photoshop skill for the food photography… hehehe…

Pic 1: Now you don’t see it..

Pic 2: Now you do~~

I stole the prawn from Chun’s seafood plate… LOL~

We went for a walk after dinner… We bought some souvenirs and stuffs… some stuffs which are not really exciting… In the end of the day… Here’s our harvest for 2 days… So very the little tho… >.<

Actually I could rate this trip was a failure… But with the amount of good food we ate, and minus the shopping.. I’ll rate it 80% excited..

Night view from our room… In love with the hotel…

To great food and nice hotel~ *Cheers*

Dinner time!

@ Once Upon A Time…

We started to walk to this restaurant, which I saw from Joanne’s album and them bugged her to tell me about it.. I’ve even printed a map and used my iPhone map for direction.. Chun was shooting his bazooka nagging about how dangerous those dark alley are… Coz from the hotel, we had to pass by the morning market.. but during night, all the shops and stalls were already closed… That’s why its dark…

But in the end, I manage to read the map and followed my instinct.. Walla~ We’re there~

Totally worth the efforts…

We were brought to the indoor seating area because we did not make a reservation to dine in.. But it’s better because we don’t have to feed the mosquitoes..  >p

Check out the interiors~

Then, I went outside to take some pics.. here’s one of it.. I’m lazy to upload others… hehe…

Our order came… I meant the food we ordered came…

I super love the Thai iced tea~

This is me me me me me me~

Tom yamgoong~ and crab meat salad I think.. forgotten the name of the 2nd dish…

Pineapple fried rice in pineapple~

Radish omelet~

Then this thing came when we finished our meal and asked for bill.. Haha… We was amused.. How cute this thing is, and wondering what it could be.. But of course it’s the bill since we asked for it..

After dinner.. We went for a walk before our next massage session…

We decided we should visit the tallest building during the night so we can see all the lights…

from the up up above~

The reminiscence area.. Where they have all this old old thing…

We checked out this machine to kill time.. and to rest our tummy…

Tah daaaaa~~~~

Then we went up the rooftop~Its the revolving roof deck~

the roof deck~

Cool lights~

View from the deck.. So bright the lights~

Then, we took the side elevator down to ground floor~

The 2nd session of massage~ Full Thai body massage for 2 hours.. This costs us 450 bhat..

Here’s the divided area.. Personal space..

Get changed…

while massaging~

Fell asleep during the massage… Really sleepy.. By the time we’re back to the hotel, its around 11pm.. But super tired…

April 17th, 2012 >> Bangkok, bangkok food, fast foods, special occasions, vacation, yummy yummy~

Bangkok for Valentine was not really our plan… as we’re supposed to be joined by Veron and Angel couple.. Veron just labored and Angel’s hubby had a new project.. So in the end, they gave up their vacation trip…

So, it was me and Mr. Right…

We took 10th Feb off, and our flight was 11.20 morning… Chun came and picked me up to Changi airport @ 8 something.. So I had to woke up early, and doll up.. =.= sleepy eyes…

Departure…

Breakfast before checking in… The wrap was nice~

Time to queue after breakfast…

Camwhore mode ON!~

To the departure gate… Late like always because of shopping…

While in the airbus…

I was really bored.. Tried to sleep.. but it didn’t work…

Reached Thailand!

@ Suvarnabhumi Airport.. The massive jam queue like always.. The same packed custom last year when I was there.. Took around 1 hour or more till our turn… Are they like forever packed?? o.o?

Finally, grabbed our luggage and met up with Som Chai, the driver who came and picked us up and sent us to Baiyoke Sky for like 500 bhat??

Grabbed a simcard on our way out the airport.. the package is totally worth it for data roaming~

Reached the hotel around 30mins or more~

We checked in..

Checked! We’re in! Our keys~

Let’s check out the room~ It’s super spacious… o.O

The view from our room.. Not that impressive though… But.. I forgot to look out the window during night…

Restroom…

The luggage room or changing room or walk in wardrobe…

The bed with mini bar..

TV and dressing table..

And I was amused by this modem in the room… A modem in every room… O.o you do the calculation.. but there’s a price to pay.. It’s not FREE!!!!

My cash… Very little.. compared to the last time I was there…

View from outside of the hotel.. I meant from below… Just before we walked out to grab some lunch~

Tallest building in Thailand~ our hotel..

Chun said we can’t eat anything from the roadside hawker.. T_T sad case.. super sad…

So we went to Indra Square  food court opposite the hotel… Still, we at least had something decent…  The tom yam kung was pretty good tho…

fried bee hoon, pineapple fried rice and tom yam soup~

first tom yam @ Thai

Checking out the roadside food~

Our first activity of the day: Foot Massage!!

We did 1.5 hour massage~ Till our foot hurt!

But… When I was halfway enjoying the massage…

After the massage session…

We walked out the shop and the night market in front of the road started to open..

I really wanted to eat the fried chicken skin.. Sigh.. but was stopped by Chun.. He’s always too hygienic and particular at the wrong thing… So after I bugged him about the coconut I wanted to drink.. He finally agree to buy me the coconut…

How can I miss the best coconut drink in Thai?? This is insane!!

The one and only coconut drink…

The coconut drink… Only coconut drink from the night market…

to be continued… (this post is taking me too much time)
