The next day…

Our first day in BKK…

Woke up early around 10am and got ourselves dolled up… gathered at the lobby… but Kary and Angela overslept so we left them preparing themselves.. We took the hotel’s shuttle van to Siam Paragon, so that we can walk to The Platinum… coz we’re not very sure in which direction the shopping complex should be…

Camwhore before leaving our room~

Waiting for direction from the bellboy and camwhore…

While waiting for the van…

When we reached Siam Paragon, we started to walk…

Along the road… I saw…

Old skool bus like those we took when I was in primary/secondary school… no aircond some more…

Siam Paragon…

Pink bus~

pink public transport is famous here..

Food along the road… but I am really afraid of getting myself into the toilet so I hold up my tummy and wait till we’re in the food court only have our breakfast….

cute tuk tuk on the road…

Finally reached! And you know what; Angela and Kary were already there and started shopping! We’re late because of the walking… They took the market road which is just 1 straight road to Platinum…

Platinum Mall

Had our brunch in the food court… its funny I don’t know what to eat that day, so I took fried kuey teow Thai style..

After the brunch, we started the See, Hunt, and BUY! Session…

SHOPPING SHOPPING SHOPPING! SHOPPING SHOPPING SHOPPING! SHOPPING SHOPPING SHOPPING!

That’s what we did the whole afternoon…

Met up around 4pm @ McD~

To actually, check out their Samurai Pork Burger~

with mr. McD kap

the menu

samurai~

sweet sauce… hmm..

Coz we actually planned to go to Baiyoke Sky that night for their dinner buffet @ sky view… so we grab a bite and went back to the hotel via “tuk tuk”.. Excitement starts! Four girls in 1 tuk tuk…

This 2 tuk tuk driver were young, and they really bullied us to the max bumping up and down the tuk tuk… till Cindy said, “if you play play, we won’t give money”. And they actually listen… Thank God…

Too dangerous part…

he kept on persuading us to follow him to the filter shop..

Back to the hotel…

Opened up our bags! And shout “SHOW OFF TIME!!”

Lay our harvest on the bed and started camwhoring~

And after the cam cam time got tired, we washed up and got dressed again and ready to go out for dinner~

All dressed for dinner…

It was sad when we reached Baiyoke Sky, the receptionist told us that the restaurant is fully book for that night. So we made reservation for tomorrow night… in the end, we went back to the hotel again and got changed to a more casual wear and go “urut-urut” massage~

Reached the massage parlor… we’re going for full body massage~~

So they took us to their 2nd floor…

Choose our spot… and the kungfu Thai massage started!

image91

me beside Bobo and Veron is on the other side..

image90

Ended in an hour… hiak! Felt flatted..

When we came out of the massage parlor, saw them talking to the parlor’s boss I think… then there’s a taxi driver who offered to take us to a nice seafood restaurant… but… he is only 1 driver with 1 taxi, and we have 8 girls here… he said “OK, no problem”… all 8 in 1 taxi… the pink one…

It’s a miracle all of us were in the cab… I did manage to take some pics…

image92

2 girls seated the front..

All cramped inside..

image93

6 girls at the back..

The recommended seafood restaurant… Kuang Seafoods…

image94

Reached~

Check out the live fishes and stuffs…

The big sis ordering…

we camwhore~

Total of 9 dishes for all 8 girls… it’s really filling… the food there were pretty good… and it’s not very expensive either…

All girls table..

After the heavy dinner…

We went out and tried to stop a cab who’re willing to fetch 8 girls again… after waiting for awhile, there’s a pretty handsome guy drove a cab passed by us… we asked him whether he can fetch us to “Patpong” he just said ok ok ok… when we all sat into the car, I think he was pretty shocked that its 8 person… Talked to him, but I think he don’t understand English..

On our way, we got blocked by the police… *sweat* but after looking at our passport, they let us go… but the taxi driver might just got himself a summon… so when we reached, Veron paid her 100bhat instead of 75bhat as per the meter.. Just some extra tips for him for being so nice…

Patpong, the place where you can find replicas… and also ah kuas (ladyboy)…

They’re buying stuffs…

Then, they decided to go in to those pub and have a look… in front of the shops, there were all the sales person.. Trying their best to drag customers to their pub…

Went in to one of the pun with all the ladyboy dancing on the stage with poles… I think those ladyboy must have hate us so much, by the way they stare when we entered the pub… a whole bunch of girls, taking away their limelight…

But it only lasts maybe for half an hour and we’re on our way back home…

Tired.. need good rest… ciaoz..

The next day…

Our first day in BKK…

Bangkok Dangerous trip part 1

February 24th, 2011 >> accessories, ❤ beautilicious~, Bangkok, bangkok food, eastern, vacation, yummy yummy~

I am so horridly busy lately… T_T trying my best to catch up in my blog…

it’s my trip to Bangkok on the 10th Jan…

When Veron, my blog buddy nudged me in the middle of my working hour (coincidently I was itchy hand I on the MSN, which normally I do not online in MSN during work), I was unsure… because I have things like Chun, to settle.. It’s an all girls trip… So I was reluctant to go without Chun… I know my heart bumps and said I wanna go… but… so… in the end, I told Veron after I settled my work, that I would LOVE to join them…

It was quite a scene with my airtic because I have to purchase my own ticket as I’m going from Spore to BKK when they’re departing from KL… I’d consider flying over to KL and take the same flight together but what for? It’s just a trouble here and there as I might have to stayover for a night to transit another flight back to Spore… very very troublesome… So I check the air ticket, and decided to go direct and meet them there…

And I bought an airtic from Tiger Airways which meets up with them 10mins earlier or later… but in the middle of September, the airline cs emailed me and announced that the timing has been changed due to something else and shifted my flight to the noon… I was very pissed off and angry… they gave me a few option such as, keeping the balance for next ticket, change to another timing flight within a week, and full refund. I gladly took the full refund option after considering for 3 days and look out for another airline which depart and arrive the same time as the KL girls… in the end I booked Jetstar which will be arriving 30mins later and depart 30mins later than them…

But the story doesn’t stop here… Remember about the refund… as I was talking with Tiger Airways customer service, the girl told me that I will get back the full refund in 4-6 weeks time… and she re-confirmed with me, and her voice was some kind of unsure and unconvincing, making me questioned myself why would she be so reluctant… so after the phone call, I Googled and found out that there were lots of un-refunded amount for years due to the cancellation of the flight at their side, and lots of negative feedback on how bad their service was… at that time, I was going crazy and called their cs again.. I bugged them till they tell me when they’re gonna refund me but the answer is like, “you have to wait to the 6th week as per told”. So I waited, after 6 weeks, I called again… And they said, “your balance should be in end of the month when the account clears the cheque”… Luckily I got the refund after 2 days from the last call… so I have some extra to spend when I’m in Bangkok…

It started with only 4 girls, which is me, Veron, Bobo and Angel… Me and Veron, we often hop to each other’s blog and drop a message and went out for a meet up once in New York New York… Bobo and Angel are friends of Veron’s friend which went out for like only once when she told me so… so it’s like, we don’t really know each other but going out for fun~ and then, Angel’s friend and co-worker’s friend joined along too which makes us 8 in a group..

And so on that day… I had to work half day on that Monday, so after work… I went down to Changi Airport alone… yeah, alone… but I have another 7 girls waiting for me at Bangkok from KL… *smitten*

Reached almost 1 hour late due to the crowded checkpoint in the Survanabumi Airport… They waited and Veron was worried that I got lost in the airport… No worries, I am alright…

Thailand~

We booked the limo-van for 2 ways to our hotel… Veron took care of everything… thanks a lot to her… all I did was go there and wait for the room…

on the way to the hotel..

The Hotel… Baiyoke Boutique..

Waiting for the check-in..

Veron and I were in room 527; Bobo and Angel are in room 525… And others were in room 528 and xxx, I forgot… coz they wanted smoking room, so another  room is down the hall… we labeled our contact number by room numbers… because we bought Thai prepaid mobile numbers for at the airport earlier.. Very cheap and convenient…

Checkout our room~

In front of the toilet…

She’s on the bed…

My cash!

$600

After unloading, we met up at the hallway to go and grab some foods~

Don’t know where to go, so we walked to the front somewhere in front of Baiyoke Sky… Coz when the van sent us to the hotel, we passed by and noticed there’s a night market there…

Enjoying BKK night market…

Bought a cute heart shaped plush flip flop… and look at the way it hung…

Look at all the fruits, so tempting… Chun had been bugging me for a month not to eat the street food in BKK… so un-cool… that’s the best thing in BKK…

Check out the huge durian! Terribly offensive to view… Luckily the I can’t smell them…

This is the “Snow Mountain Flying Fox” fish on the street…

I love eating this fried chicken skin! It’s scrumptiously delicious~ better than KFC!

fried chicken skin~

In the middle of the street, there are cab, cars, motorcycles, van and all sorts of vehicle on the road…

Check out their PINK cab!

These are roasted barbecue chicken Thai style.. but it looks almost the same to ayam percik..

The uncle selling “lemang” Thai style, or so called packed rice in the bamboo..

And also these thinly made roti canai/prata… when it’s done, sweet condensed milk were swirled on it. So crispy and yummy~ the one with egg filling was savory… Very nice too~

This one looks like earrings to me, but it smells very very nice… like satay~

Then, when we finished the night market, it’s almost time for them to pack and leave… so we walked back to the hotel… The other suggested eating in the restaurant beside our hotel, because they’re afraid that the others might still be hungry… so we dined in The Curry Pot.

It’s actually located near the Indian Street, that’s why the Curry Pot is there… we had Indian cuisine… But with a splash of Thai style…

busy calling family/bf

This is their Thai Coke~

Pappadam?? dunno, but very nice…

dipped in the sauce..

The Tom Yam Gong…

big prawns~

And their Thai uber famous “Snow Mountain Flying Fox” fish… actually I don’t know what it is’s called in English… It’s just my direct translation from Cantonese…

Finished!! All by them…

Went back to the hotel after that… very very tired… we need sleep… but Angela and Kary went out for massage…

to be continued…

Another late entry… been kinda very busy lately… very very busy… it’s now the 15th of Feb and I’m only posting my NYE celebration entry, so backdated… and now it’s like trying my best to remember all the previous events, happened… I had to, and my memory kinda rotting already… remembered alittle and forgot some…

My company organized a New Year Eve again this that after the recent Christmas eve luncheon… but this time they ordered some through some caterer… Sad to say that it’s not as delicious as it looks…

there were fruit salad..

ham…

satays…

sweet and sour fish, and mixed braised veggies and tofu,.

eclairs~~ oh yum yum/~

mee siam~ and the gravy behind..

rendang chicken and veggie curry..

After the luncheon, we were dismissed earlier~

Met up with Aunty Li Ching somewhere I think… I almost forgot what happened… will update soon when I remember…

Then, we met up with Jian Tong @ Cityhall for hot pot as planned…

Boris, Li Ching’s brother came along after work with his friend… We’ve already pre-booked earlier… when we arrived @ Hot Pot Culture, Marina Square… it wasn’t really full yet… We got our seat and started tucking in…

Meanwhile, the queue at the front door became longer and longer because they did not make any reservation… really packed…

The menu..

Seated…

the cute pot and aunty..

me and my hot pot soup boiling.. picked up some raw ingredients..

Check out the cute personal hot pot… it’s really hygienic if you don’t want to share your saliva with others, but the food there was so so… we love the one in Bugis better…

waiting for our soup to boil..

uncle Jian Tong busy…

While waiting, we ordered some cooked foods from the menu… its also included in the buffet set…

korkor Boris.. came late but all food were ready to be eaten… so lucky…

our table… full with foods… they ordered and ordered and ordered…

Check out our group picture…

Any problem with this picture below??

No right??

Because, this friend of Boris looked very next table…

Haha…

the bro and sis…

There were chocolate fondue too… strawberries, banana and ice cream were kinda limited because we have to make an order so that the food come to us… although it’s called buffet… I think they wanna control the outgoing of those foods..

Then, when we finished our dinner.. We walked around Marina Square.. Wanted to see whether there’s any movie to watch, or bowling alley available to bowl.. But all full… then, we started to go outside… It’s almost very packed because everyone wants to go somewhere there to watch the fireworks… all the people were seated in front of Marina Square and making picnic place there… I was like, “OMG”… speechless…

I really can’t stand the heat and human sea.. Can’t breathe… so before the condition worsen.. I decided to make our move back to the MRT station… on our way out to Cityhall, the guard were controlling human from going into Marina side.. All blocked and moving them back to Cityhall..

When we arrived in Cityhall it was pretty early, so we decided to have a drink and go back home before 11.30pm…

NYE@ Starbucks.. Counting down to 11.30pm…

me and my beloved aunty Li Ching..

the cute couple… the aunty smiley so cute~

we wish you a great 2011 year ahead..

and last but not least, my new year resolution for this year is, to become more down to earth and lose the supercilious.. more word of praise than word of sarcasm… *pray hard it works*

*sorrie for the belated wishes.. but it’s better late than never…
