Batam Big Gang trip on the 8th of October 2011

February 1st, 2012 >> baby's playground, Batam, vacation, yummy yummy~

I name it, the Batam Big Gang trip on the 8th of October 2011… (still catching up to date)

There were Jason, Dawn (Jason’s wife), Jian Tong, Evelyn (Jian Tong’s sis), Pec (Jian Tong’s sis’ bf), Serene, Rainie, Chun and me. 9 pax trip.

We bought some coupon/voucher from the deals website for this trip, which saves us like quite alot coz its inclusive of 1 hour body massage, 1 bowling session, 1 night stay, 2-way ferry and a breakfast buffet for each person..Its cool~

Early that morning, we woke up earlier that we go to work everyday… Coz we had to get ourselves to Harbourfront for breakfast and then queue for the ferry…

Me and aunty Rainie, on our way to Harbourfront…

Excited!

As what this guy said on his shirt: Ready for a Holiday Cheer!!

On our way, we forgot to bring any toothpaste so aunty bought Cola flavoured kids toothpaste.. This is so cute~ Can’t resist taking picture with it…

After our breakfast, we started to queue for the ferry… This time the queue was super long compared to the last time we went there…

After queuing, we had to wait for our time to check in…

Reached! My Notica…

When they’re busy checking in to Harris Resort @ Batam, we take pictures~ The decorations was ok, just that the minor color preference I dislike…

Our rooms will be ready after 3pm. So since we had nothing to do, decided to go for the city tour first… We asked for some cab service at the concierge and they directed us to 2 taxi driver.. After negotiation we started our journey.. Our first stop, the seafood restaurant.. They took us to the Golden Prawn 933.

Check out the place.. It’s alittle untidy, and the food was not so good either.. It’s been too commercialized..

Firstly before we were seated, we were to choose our own seafood here…

\Check out the lobster!

Then make our order to the guy working there. He will take down our order and lead us to our seats…

We had young coconut for drinks~ Not bad though.. Cooling~

Here’s our orders~

We had… Clam, crabs, prawns, squids, veggie, fish, tofu and twisted cluster beans. It looks like we’re feasting like kings, but its actually just nice for 9 pax..

When we finished the dishes….

This is all the cash I have… I might have a million~

Total damage: $1,051,000.00.  1 million dude!! Aw.. Its in Rupiah…

Then, we asked the taxi driver to take us to some shopping center.. Since me and Chun had been to Nagoya, we asked if they can bring us to other place… I think this is Batam Shopping Center.

I saw this cute public phone in all sorts of colors… and check out the antenna.. LOL~

Then we check out the supermarket.. The beer and cig are so cheap… Its like heaven to those who love them…

Gudang Garam cig… I think it reminds me of one of my friend when I saw this…

Parking… We bought food for dinner later…

The same driver came and fetch us.. They took us to a house which sells homemade “Kuih Lapis” . It was really not bad though.. I kinda love it… Very buttery taste..

Kuih lapis with prune and original flavour

Back to the hotel… Tired…

We finally checked in to our room… Very contemporary compared to Holiday Inn, the last we stayed.. The minor dislike: the orange color finishing. Mind wreaking color!

This is the view from our room balcony… Its really nice.. but very very scary at night because the sound of the wild waves really freaked me out! Can’t sleep well that night… Too scary for a timid heart like mine…

And the bathroom. They’re mostly orange also. I personally hate orange color!

Evening break.. Everybody is allowed to have their own sweet time… I choose mine to be by the pool rather than in the pool during this inappropriate day…

Relax…

Our dinner… Whatever we packed from the mall…

After dinner… We went down to the spa.. We had our appointment for body massage that night…

They lead us to this dark dark place… There’s a hut for everyone… Feeling nice.. but scary if I’m alone…

The inside… the massage bed..

Went back for alittle gathering in Jason’s room before ended up sleeping…

The next day, we had our breakfast downstairs and then we headed to the bowling alley.. Let’s play ball~

Me doing camwhore~

Meanwhile they’re having fun in the bowling alley, me and Chun went for reflexology outside the bowling place..

Finally when all finished, we checked out… Waited for the shuttle bus, its packed.. No no for next time…

We reached Singapore in the evening.. Tired…

There goes our weekend…

May 31st, 2011 >> baby's birthday~, baby's playground, Batam, eastern, vacation, yummy yummy~

Planned on a holiday after my birthday…

=)

Was expected to serve the company till end of the month but luckily they let me go before my Bday and Batam trip~

That weekend Saturday after my birthday,  Chun came and picked me up below my deck… and we started our journey to Harbour Front~

At the MRT station~ Very excited~

We reached the ferry ticket collection centre and saw this… We saw uncle Chin here!!!! Chun misses Barney… awww…

Had our breakfast @ Wang Café…

And checked in after that… waited for our ferry… actually this trip kinda feel like we’re taking flights… had to wait at the departure hall, but no seats… so we stood in front of the duty free…

Boarded the ferry…

We sat at the front deck, which was outdoor… it was torturing.. People smoking everywhere.. So when they reached the first jetty, some of the passengers alighted and we changed our seat to the indoor seat.. Air-conditioned..

outdoor~

the Sekupang jetty…

indoor~

We finally reached Waterfront jetty…

The queue was super long because it was a holiday weekend from the Good Friday… the hotel’s shuttle was waiting for us outside…

Here we are…

the check in counter

Checked in but our room was not ready yet so we went to the café… had a light lunch… ordered some bbq chicken wing and a pizza.. It tastes so-so, so we decided not to have buffet dinner there…

The Cafe…

BBQ chicken wings and pizza~

me~~

Here’s the Indo beer… Bintang`~

After lunch, checking in to our room… Walked across the swimming pool to the block..

Tah daaa~

Nice room~

Check out the washroom~ cooling and nice~

camwhore in the washroom~

View from our balcony.. Nice~

Our $$… suddenly I think that we’re millionaire! LOL… but actually we’re not because the stuffs there were so pricey.. Especially in the hotel…

After placing our stuffs in the room, we went down to the counter and request for the shuttle to the town… but bad luck, the shuttle all booked and full.. So we were told that we can take cab to the town and we did..

On the way to Nagoya Hill.. As per recommended by the bellboy..

Had to stop by the cyber café because someone had to check his NBA stuffs.. Sweat* speechless..

NBA = . =

Didn’t see any things to buy, so we bought some drinks and foods.. Then also the Pizza Hut~ we ordered crown crust as per recommended by the pizza guy… and I tell you, it’s superb.. The crown crust is stuffed with nuggets… yummy~ and also their sambal, yummilicious.. Sweet and spicy sauce indon style..

our drinks~ trying some new drinks~

Watched movies from the cable till we went to sleep…

And the next day, woke up early and had their breakfast buffet…

Still.. It doesn’t really taste nice.. Just average.. Or somewhere below average… English breakfast + indon style.. Ate some porridge, but with anchovies from nasi lemak and also bee hoon…

Hardly satisfy my taste bud…

So after breakfast, we were to do some swimming.. But someone watched NBA till he forgot about it and I was watching movies from my iPod… in the end, it’s time to check out and we rushed out…

Sat at the lobby because we thought that we could do something like going downtown again, so we took the 2nd trip ferry which was at 4pm… in the end, we ended up waiting in the lobby and watched my movie… again…

It’s getting dark… the ferry was delayed… sigh.. I hate waiting in the queue…

Waterfront Jetty

Harbourfront Jetty..

Reached Vivo, famished… had candle light dinner @ Dian Xiao Er… coz the next day, will be going back Sitiawan for holiday… yet~~

na and my dinner~

he

my Batam trip… it’s alittle insufficient.. too little of survey and research… supposed  to find out more activities other than shopping, because there’s no place like home for shopping… Spore is way better… hehe…
